Clean and De-clutter what you can from your home before the New Year is here.

Chinese New Year Advice:
Clean the entire house before New Year's Day.
On New Years Eve all cleaning equipment should be put away as to not to sweep away good fortune.
After New Years Day you are recommended to clean and sweep your floors
-When cleaning sweep all dust, dirt (negative) energy towards the back door and carry it away
-Make sure when you sweep all floors you also clean all the corners
NY Feng Shui New Year Advice:
Focus on all the good energy you want to manifest for the New Year, do not to focus on "what could have been" and focus on "what will be."
Chinese New Year Advice:
Let go of the past and "everything should be turned toward the New Year and a new beginning."

As a general Feng Shui Principle it is recommended to have fresh flowers in your home. For celebrating the New Year we especially recommend having a bouquet of flowers as to help welcome in the new energy for 2010.
Chinese New Year Advice:
Plants and flowers symbolize rebirth and new growth. If a plant blooms in your home on New Year's Day, it is considered a start to a prosperous year.

Having a bowl of fresh fruit on your kitchen table is recommended with the intentions to for having abundance in your life .
Chinese New Year Advice:
Food is associated with abundance&prosperity; it is suggested to have a well stocked pantry.
